McKinney, Duresky advance to general election

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Republican Amanda McKinney and Democrat John Duresky advanced to the November general election for Washington’s 4th Congressional District after finishing as the top two vote-getters in the primary, according to The Wenatchee World.

The primary election concluded Tuesday, with auditors still counting ballots that could determine final results. McKinney and Duresky will face each other in the general election, replacing former Representative Dan Newhouse, who did not seek re-election.

The East Wenatchee City Council will review a draft interlocal agreement on August 18 to loan the East Wenatchee Police Chief to also serve as Wenatchee’s police chief, per the same source.
