SR 9 Fish Passage Work Causes Lane Shifts

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

WSDOT began reducing SR 9 to a single lane near Kalloch Road (MP 59) on Aug. 3 with alternating traffic through a bypass road. The change lasts until Sept. 14 for fish passage construction.

Another SR 9 work zone starts Aug. 21, alternating traffic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Sept. 3 near Mount Vernon Big Lake Road (MP 49). Both projects aim to improve fish passage at tributaries.

Drivers should expect delays on these routes. The WSDOT project webpage offers more details and updates.
