WSDOT announced multiple road construction projects affecting US 2 and Chumstick Highway in Wenatchee area. Starting Sept. 8, crews will repair and repave Chumstick Highway between Leavenworth and Plain from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays until Sept. 25. This work involves single-lane closures, pilot cars, and flaggers.
US 2 will see separate projects: a right-lane closure on Sept. 9 in north Wenatchee, a patching project on Sept. 8 south of Orondo, and guardrail replacement west of Leavenworth until Sept. 4. These projects will cause slowdowns and detours during specified times. The guardrail project near Tumwater Canyon ends on Sept. 4 at 8 p.m.
