WSDOT announced several roadwork projects beginning or continuing this week in Wenatchee and nearby areas. The southbound I-405 HOV ramp to SR 167 will close overnight from 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, to 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

SR 290 Eastbound will have a right lane closure at milepost 8. 43 near Pines Rd in Spokane Valley starting at 8:42 a.m. on April 20, 2026, and continuing until about September 30, 2026. Both directions of SR-124 from Bolles Road to Coppei Ave in Waitsburg will be closed from 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, until 10 p.m. on Sept. 18 for environmental remediation work.

WSDOT states that traffic should follow posted detour routes for SR-124 closures, and that some projects may be rescheduled due to weather conditions. The agency also notes that some work, like the SR-534 rumble strip installation, requires dry weather and could be delayed.
